Join Jay Sekulow & ACLJ In Calling For American Prisoner In Iran To Be Released

This week for the first time, the U.S. State Department in its daily press briefing spoke out about American Pastor Saeed Abedini who has imprisoned in Iran. The State Department expressed its “serious concerns” about his fate and acknowledged that the sole reason for his imprisonment in Iran is because of his “religious beliefs.”

One wonders where the world is when a Muslim nation is abusing an American due to his religion.  The American Center for Law & Justice (ACLJ) headed by Jay Sekulow has issued a public call that the State Department demand the immediate release of Mr. Abedini – their petition may be signed at: http://aclj.org/iran/save-american-pastor-iranian-abuse-imprisonment

Pastor Saeed’s imprisonment is a clear violation of international human rights laws.

The State Department’s statement:“We have serious concerns about the fate of two U.S. citizens detained in Iran, Amir Hekmati and Saeed Abedini. Let me start with Mr. Abedini. He was arrested by Iranian officials more than three months ago on charges related to his religious beliefs. We understand that a hearing will be held soon, and we call on Iranian officials to respect Iran’s own laws and provide Mr. Abedini access to an attorney.”

Demand an American imprisoned in Iran be released.

A Christmas Wish – Jay Sekulow

This Christmas, I am gathering with my family to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. We are celebrating a message of hope and love – a message that is so desperately needed these days.

The challenges facing this country and the world are significant. And for many Americans, there is much pain this Christmas season.

But, as Christians, we know that we do not face these challenges and problems alone. We call on a merciful and loving God to provide comfort and healing for the weary, the broken-hearted, the afflicted.

As we pray this Christmas season, please don’t forget about the men and women who defend our nation – those in the Armed Forces – those who risk their lives to protect ours.

At the same time, let’s take a moment to reflect on the tremendous blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon us and our nation.

My Christmas wish for you: May the joy and peace of Christmas be with you and your family now and throughout the New Year.

On behalf of everyone at the ACLJ, Merry Christmas to you and yours!

While the ACLJ, under the guidance of Jay Sekulow, initiated with the mission to safeguard liberty in the US, its impact can now be seen throughout the globe.
